Political science is a branch of the social sciences that is concerned with the theory and description of political systems and behaviors. It is a large field of study that incorporates a number of subfields, such as public policy, international relations and political theory. The methods of political science can vary widely depending on the nature of what is being studied, with some of the many approaches being philosophical, structural and behavioral in nature.
